Lucien Bouchard (born 1938 in Saint-Coeur-de-Marie, Quebec) is a lawyer and diplomat who entered federal politics after serving as Canada’s ambassador to France. He later became a cabinet minister under Brian Mulroney before leaving to found the Bloc Québécois in 1990.
