Early life and football career

Born in Flint, Michigan in 1968, Crews played college football at Western Michigan University and later professionally in the NFL during the 1990s. He played for the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, and Washington Redskins before a shoulder injury ended his playing career.

Acting, hosting, and film roles

Crews began acting in 1999 with a small role in *The 6th Day*. He gained wider recognition as Julius Rock on *Everybody Hates Chris* and as Terry Jeffords on *Brooklyn Nine-Nine*. His film credits include *White Chicks*, *The Longest Yard*, *Idiocracy*, *The Expendables* series, *Deadpool 2*, and *Rumble*. He has also hosted *Who Wants to Be a Millionaire* and served as a judge on *America's Got Talent*.
