Serge Aubrey Savard, nicknamed "The Senator," played defence for the Montreal Canadiens from 1966 to 1981, then finished his NHL career with the Winnipeg Jets in 1983. He was a key part of the Canadiens' 1970s dynasty and later became a successful executive.
