Early life

Born Stanley Bert Eisen on January 20, 1952, in New York City, Paul Stanley grew up in the city and began his career in its rock scene. He co-founded KISS in the early 1970s.

Stanley served as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for KISS from 1973 to 2023. He wrote or co-wrote many of the band's best-known songs and became one of its signature frontmen.
