Mike Fisher is a Canadian former NHL centre who played for the Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators. He was drafted by Ottawa in 1998 and later captained Nashville before retiring in 2017.

Early life and junior career

Born in Peterborough, Ontario, Fisher played junior hockey before being selected 44th overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with Ottawa in October 1999.

NHL career and captaincy

Fisher spent over a decade with Ottawa, helping the team reach the 2007 Stanley Cup Final. He was traded to Nashville in 2011 and became known as a reliable two-way centre, winning a Selke Trophy nomination in 2006. He served as captain of the Predators during the 2016–17 season before retiring.
