Born on 13 January 1997 in Oslo, Høiby is the son of Mette-Marit Tjessem Høiby and Morten Borg. After his mother married Crown Prince Haakon in 2001, he became the crown prince’s stepson. He has appeared publicly with the royal family but is not a member of the royal house.
