Jim Harbaugh is an American football coach and former NFL quarterback. He is currently the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Playing career

Harbaugh played 14 seasons in the NFL as a quarterback from 1987 to 2000. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 1987 NFL draft. He played for the Bears, Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens, and San Diego Chargers. He played college football at the University of Michigan from 1983 to 1986.

Coaching journey

Harbaugh began coaching at the University of San Diego, then moved to Stanford, where he achieved major success. He later coached the San Francisco 49ers, leading them to Super Bowl XLVII. He returned to college at Michigan, winning multiple Big Ten championships and a national championship in 2024. In 2024, he became head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.
