Jennifer Morrison is an American actress, director, and producer. She is best known for playing Dr. Allison Cameron on House and Emma Swan on Once Upon a Time.

Early life and education

Morrison was born in Chicago and raised in Arlington Heights, Illinois. She studied theatre and English at Loyola University Chicago and trained with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company.

Acting career

She began acting as a child, making her film debut in Intersection (1994). Major recognition came with her role as Dr. Allison Cameron on House and later as Emma Swan on Once Upon a Time (2011–2018). She has also appeared in How I Met Your Mother and Star Trek.

Directing and producing

In addition to acting, Morrison has worked behind the camera. Her feature-film directorial debut was Sun Dogs (2017). She continues to take on directing and producing projects.
